Unfortunately for Black, this move overlooks a better option involving their Knight, which would have been a more strategic choice. By not capturing the outpost, Black misses an opportunity to further disrupt White's position. Furthermore, Qa7 also fails to provide a better escape from the attack that was previously launched against Black's piece on that square. Additionally, this move fails to develop any other piece for active play beyond the Queen, which is somewhat unusual for a Queen-side maneuver.
